Project Overview

When Cottage Construction built the main house, the owners wanted the option to add either shingle or shake siding later--when the budget permitted--but also wanted siding choices for affordability, durability, and good looks. These repeat customers then chose a contemporary 4'x 8'paneled product with vertical grooves every 8-inches, similar to "board and batt" siding (manufactured since the 1960's). We worked with these Trindad owners to combine the siding with horizontal wood trim elements for a continuous, unobstructed board and batt look on the gable sides.
